I am an independent contractor working as the Local Emergency Planning Committee Coordinator for Somerset County. I also provide assistance to Robert Higgins, the Emergency Management Director, in implementing the Citizen Corps initiatives and coordination of volunteer management into emergency management operations in Somerset County.
As an LEPC Coordinator I complete the clerical aspect of inputting information resulting from the LEPC Field Representative in the annual update of the existing Somerset County LEPC plan and acquisition of new information for the county logistical data base for emergency planning and response.
Such as:
1. Input updated newly acquired local community information.
2. Data base input of logistical resource information obtained by Field Representative.
3. Cross input into soon to be provided Web EOC Resource Module.
4. Printing and inclusion of digitally produced Community Maps w/Identified
HAZMAT Buffer Zones (to include those routes identified in the Commodity Flow
Study Phase II).
5. Development of the Somerset County Annex Binder w/copy to be provided the
Maine Emergency Management Agency.
6. As much as is allowed, placement of document onto the County EMA Web Site.
7. Additional clerical support duties to the Somerset County LEPC and Somerset
County EMA as required.
I have been a resident of Somerset County my life, excepting
the years I was in the military. I have been married for 16 years to a great
guy and we have three wonderful kids together. We enjoy Hiking and Paint ball.
