ANI / ALI Information

ANI and ALI are the information recorded for each subscriber to phone service.

ANI is Number information. This pertains to the phone number assigned to the subscriber.

ALI refers to the Location information. Such as, your Name, your addresses, town, etc.

The incorrect ALI reports refer to the information provided by the ALI information, to include the ESN# which allows Verizon to indicate which emergency service responds to that location.

Each town has at least one ESN number. Each address or subscriber's information will be "assigned" that ESN #, which will be shown on the dispatcher's screen should someone call from that location.

In our example of Palmyra, they have 4 ESN's because of the number of fire departments they have responding to their town. Depending on the residence, and their fire service, depends on which ESN they have.
