Somerset County Communications Center Emergency 9-1-1 Educational Program Meet Red E Fox

Somerset County Sheriff's Department Communications Center had participated in Fairfield Fire Department's Educational Program for several years.

We decided to start a "9-1-1 Emergency" educational program in 2001. We started slow, just getting on our feet and meeting some of the schools.

It is our goal to visit, with RED E FOX, as many schools within the county to educate students on:

• What is an Emergency?
• When to Dial?
• Where you call is recieved?
• Your emergency services and where they are located?
• What information the dispatcher will need from you?
• How to prepare yourself, before you need to call 9-1-1?
• and much more.
